C 7 ROTATION: BELIEVERS AROUND THE WORLD; Christmas
Version 6.0 All around the world we have brothers and sisters in Christ sharing the news of Jesus' birth. With passports in hand, children travel around the world to Italy, Lebanon, Mexico, Sweden, Sudan, and Ukraine. In their travels, they learn that the message of Jesus' birth and salvation is the same but celebrated differently through meaningful cultural experiences. The children will re-enact a Mexican Posada dramatization, a Ukrainian Christmas Eve dinner, and create candles of light in Sweden. Italy's Old Befana tells the Christmas story through her search for the Christ child while a visit form Mother Teresa tells the children how she saw Christ in everyone. Children will also make a Lebanese Christmas cave and learn about the Lost Boys of Sudan. Children learn that our cultural diversities are united through the Good News of Jesus' birth. As brothers and sisters in Christ we serve one God. A special mission project through Operation Christmas Child allows the children to serve others during the Christmas season.
