C 8 ROTATION: SOME SON! God's Christmas Gift

Version 6.0

The birth of Christ is the story of God giving us a gift we did not know we needed. Through this Christmas unit, the children will come to understand God's Christmas gift better by exploring Jesus' titles: Son of God, Son of Man, Son of Joseph, Son of David, and Son of the World. In all workshops, children will celebrate and renew their hope through God's Gift of Jesus. A carpentry creation will help them relate the "human" side of Jesus as the Son of Joseph. A special story illustrates how Jesus came as the Son of Man to seek out and save the lost. In the Nature workshop, children learn how they are a part of Jesus' family through a Son of David family tree project. A movie will show how the hope for salvation begins at Christmas with the Son of God. A balloon game in the Party workshop will help them understand how the promise of the Son of the World begins at Christmas but is fulfilled at Easter. In the computer workshop, children will come to realize that this amazing son needs to be shared with others. Through an inviting project they will invite others to your church's Christmas services.
