When Jesus asks you three times to do something, you better do it! Children learn of Peter receiving the Holy Spirit and the early beginnings of the church as they celebrate Pentecost with spirit filled games. Through various activities children explore the church as a community of believers, the church's mission, and the church as a witness then and now. Through cooking children learn the difference between physical hunger and spiritual hunger. They learn the importance of feeding themselves by reading God's Word and feeding others the Good News. Lastly, they learn about the birth of their own church and how it is the Body of Christ.
